9-3-09   Have had a consult with laser hair removal center and it seems pricey. I want to research electrolysis versus laser removal of hair. If any girls have gone through this already your preferences would be welcome. I have been reading alot of information about transitioning and see that it is a process that will take as much as 6 years to complete at a reasonable pace. One of the first steps recommended once you have "soul searched" is to begin removing your facial hair because this can take up to two years and will help with all of the rest of the "passing" issues. I agree with this so I am doing just a little research before I jump in with both manicured feet!

Haven't been able to start it personally, but, from what I have deduced and been told. Laser isn't quite permanent as they'd like to advertise it. Electrolysis is permanent, once it gets a kill. And has about 80% kill rate. Plus there are two types of electrolysis, one is more effective, but there are technicians who can combine them and using both is extremely effective.
