I was wondering how many girls out there have the same dress envy that I do. I attended a wedding this past weekend and had to go dressed male (although I did dress as unisex as I could) and as I watched the brides maids and all the other women and girls fussing over each others dresses, and new shoes, and makeup, I couldn't help how envious I felt. I wanted to be in a pretty new satin dress. I wanted to be in a pretty new pair of shoes. I wanted to have a special hairdo and nice makeup. I did not lose focus on the fact of who I was there for and that it was their special day... but inside I was sad because if I had been given the childhood I deserved I would be a woman today and have all those special events to dress up for! Days like this just add more fuel to my journey of transition.
