It's time for the Pretty Princess Cappie Awards! This is a yearly event celebrating our lovely cappie artists! If you added cappies in the Sissy Kiss forums then you can join in! Later people will be able to vote on who our new pretty cappie princess will be! When we have a Cappie Princess, they can have this fabulous awards image above to show off in their signature to let everyone know they won these awards! It will link to this awards thread as well.
To join, you can make a reply below listing up to 3 cappie threads you made, and you can give description of them if you'd like. Once they are added and I have a chance to see them I can add a link in the threads that are entered that says, "If you loved these cappies please vote on them at the Pretty Princess Cappie Awards!" Which will bring people here to vote.
We can accept entries up to Febraury the 7th, then I'll add a poll to this thread so people can vote, and on Valentines Day, Febraury the 14th we will have our new Pretty Cappie Princess!

I will enter shortly. Is it only captions from 2011 that are eligible or are captions made before Valentines Day eligible as well?

I think it would be good that people can change, or add entries until February the 7th when the voting begins, because if it's changed after voting starts then you may have changed something someone else voted on.

Gah! Missed the vote! I don't want to be the tiebreaker vote, but mine will always go to Baby Butch... Don't count this if there is a better tiebreaker in mind... I just wanted to voice my personal would-have-been vote.
Edit: Technically, where I am, it is still the 14th.

I remember the voting to be much higher in previous years. This is hardly a real sample size of the SissyKiss user base.
Still, I'd be happy to either share the title or open the voting again. I think the organization changes to the forum have really affected how people see these posts. Many people have commented on the fact that they didn't see it during the 7 days that it was open. I myself hand to search to find it to enter before the deadline.
Either way, it's up to Christie Luv. Is there any way to make all of the polls stickies so that everyone who browses "What's New?" can see them?

Great point, Clarisse. I'm happy to open up the voting again if it means we get a fairer result and more people find out about the awards.
I wonder if stickies or posts could be put up on the Story Time, Captioned Images and Poetry threads? People would find it really easy then.

In all honesty, and I recognise the vast amount of work that has gone into the site, I find the new layout very confusing to navigate with multiple columns, with too much random info on screen and too little content explorable due to the enormous thread previews. The old thread title+description+last post method was far easier to work with, and I haven't been visiting the site much at all since then. Posting is also a bit of a hassle, with thread ratings etc. :/

I agree that the layout is worse than it was before. The only way I can view the forum now is to search by What's New and then look at the day it was posted. I then work backwards from there until I get to where I was the last time. I sometimes have to click Your Posts and look for all of the ones I've commented in just to find what I'm looking for.

New Site
I have adjusted to the new site very well and usually have no trouble posting things. With my computer I do experience a lot of waiting time and my computer sticks on searches.
I log in and go right to Forums. I start at the top of the page and enter any forum I wish as I go down the list. My computer always takes time to show a forum like captioned piccies because the thumbnails take time to download.
The good thing is if I am in a hurry, I can click on a thread and go there before all the thumbnails download.
As far as this contest I don't see why It is any different than the others. Some choose to participate and others don't. I also realize a lot of people don't seem to know about the contests. Perhaps something different could be done next year to boost participation. Still waiting for the official results.

I meant the thread view page to be like a forum, and a gallery at the same time, which definitely draws people in to see peoples cappies, stories, etc. I think it's a cool feature not tried by many other sites, but I can imagine some people will like it, and some people wont. I don't want to disagree with the people that don't want it, but I think it makes the site fore fun. I will try to find ways of optimizing it better in the future though so the page will load faster, though I haven't had much problems loading the page. It would load more slow for people with dialup connections. I could see if I can make an option to where people can disable it if they wanted to. That may have to want until sometime after I make the new Sissy Spaces.
PS. So sorry for the delay! I had internet, and computer problems some other things which stopped me from making it here. >.<
