The new upgrades!
-
Dear Christie,
Thank you for all your hard work to make this site so great! I was wondering if the new profile page will be able to list our 'interests' the way the old profile page did. I loved reading everyone's interests and hoped that people read mine.
Thank you,
Love and hugs,
Patti

Christie it looks great! But there is one huge problem. Alot of the people from chat and all over can not get into any section of the forum. I got into this thread by doing Whats new and I can not go into any sections from there, nor by just clicking. I can only get into threads from Whats new. I've only just came back to sissy kiss last night and have already had 4 people tell me they had the same problem :x. Don't wanna sound bossy or harrassing, but if you could fix it, it would really be lovely.
It is fixed for me now!!!

Hi Christie
Thank you for restoring the username log in as it's kind of easier for me to remember particularly if I just wanna check the site on another persons computer (cleaning the browsing history afterward).
I hear ya okay on the thumbnail and ratings issue and whilst not perfect the clicking on rating workaround works for me being young in alg years there's stuff I just prefer not to read or see.

I'm sorry to say it Christie but I'm really not a fan of the way the site looks now. I can see a lot of work has gone into it and I've waited this long to see if I'd get used to it but I'm really having a difficult time doing so.
There are a few things that bother me but I think other have summed up the majority of the problems. Quite a big one I have is the smaller number of posts to a page in each topic. I come onto SK primarily to look at (and make corrections to) my story and, although I know it's a minority case, there are a lot of pages in that topic. Previously, with fifty posts to a page, there were around twenty pages or so. Now, there are sixty. Using the search function is fine to find the pieces I need to correct but I like seeing everyone's posts together without having to load many, many pages (particularly on days when my internet is running slowly).
I get why the number of posts on each page has been lowered, since there's more information in each post (something else that kind of bothers me, particularly in the "What's New" section. It's not as easy to use or find what I'd like). I could always go to the archive site but I kind of want to come to SK rather than its archive.

Hi sweeties! I PM'd Gwenny, and Sissy Pebbles about their questions.

Yes you can add your interests. When you are at Sissy Space you can got to:
My Account -> Personal Profile
There will be a text box for interests there.

Hi hun! You can change the amount of posts you see on each page by going to here starting from the forum's left sidebar:
Settings -> My Account -> General Settings
Then on that page there will be an option that says "Number of posts to show per page"
You can make it all the way up to 40. Also I've made some optimizations since I made the number of posts 15 so I'll test if the server will be okay if I raise the number up.

Whoa, Madi gets back home from her vacation and she finds a huge update waiting. Great job Webmissy :) Love the new look, though itll take this girl a bit of time to figure all this out XD Not great with computers and such.

Hi Christie! I have a question. I always us the "What's New?" when I visit cause that way I won't miss anything. It used to be that on the What's New, it would tell me everything that updated SINCE my last visit. Now it doesn't do that anymore. It also dos not show the time of the last post on a thread preview - just the day. Is there any way to either make it show me all posts updated since my last visit, or the time of the last post, so I am not sitting here thinking, "Did I read that one already, or not?"

I needed to disable that feature because it was taking up a lot of server load. I wanted to keep it but if we did the entire site would become slow.

Oh sorry hun! I thought I did for some reason *lol* You can go here *Link* to see your previous Sissy Space. You can login there with your Sissy Kiss username and password to see your previous friends. With the new Sissy Spaces, you can look them up on this page *Link*
The people who made the old Sissy Spaces closed down, which made us have no choice but to use a new software for the new Sissy Spaces. If we didn't we would never be able to upgrade. They didn't have any way to bring over the friend networks to the new software unfortunately, but the new Sissy Spaces do have friend networks, and they have a facebook-like wall where you can see all the new updates from friends!

Something I think needs fixing...
Sorry for the intrusion,
but I wasn't sure where to put this...
I've realized that the inboxes have
no notifications, and therefore,
users won't realize when they have messages...
I just think this needs to be addressed,
sorry again if it's in the wrong place...:p

your tears won't fall forever...."

Hi Raven! Thank you for the suggestion! I'll see if I can add that to the left side bar where the Private Messages link is as soon as I get the chance to. When I was upgrading I didn't add it because it was conflicting with some code, but if I have time to look at it some more I'll try to find a way to put it up there.

Wait - I always get a notification when I get a new private message!
On the left side box, where it says:
Welcome,
(Your name)
My Sissy Space
Log Out
Private Messages
Under Private Messages, when I have a new one, there is a little heart.
