The new upgrades!
Hi sweeties! I've done enough of the upgrades that I can open up the forum again, yay, how do you like the look? You may get some errors still. I'm working on fixing those right now and I'll let everyone know when I think I've fixed them all. If you run into any feel free to use Sissy Kiss's contact form.
I'll also show everyone where they can find their previous Sissy Spaces as soon as I can put that site up. So they can save any images, blogs they wanted to keep.
I'll post updates about this here.
Edit
.......................................
The archive of the previous Sissy Spaces can be found here. You can login your Sissy Kiss username and password. You don't have to make a new account.:

i like the new look. there needs to be a way to resize everything though. the thread lists are huge! it takes a fair amount of time to scroll through them.(if theres already a way resize everything i'll find it eventually.)
i do love the new features. one thing i noticed though, when i go to my profile, its blank. theres just nothing. i already filled in all the text fields and they havent showed up yet.
i'll get back to you on some other things. it might take a wile to relearn everything.

Thank you for letting me know what you think! Yeah it's pretty different, I hope it will be in a good way when everyone has time to figure all the new things out.
Thanks Baby Butch, I learned PHP coding in the last year, and I combined that with my web designing knowledge, and had fun with that hehe.
Check out some BB Code features like:

Thanks for letting me know about the error in your profile Wittle Brittany. I may send you a private message to ask about it. I see if I can find out more about it. Also, sorry there isn't a resize option at the moment, but most browsers have a zoom ability, where if you hold down the control key on the keyboard and use a mouse's middle wheel, it will make everything smaller, and they probably have a way to do it without the mouse wheel. You can google it to look that up.

I am still getting used to the new form, it will take some time but i like it.
I am not fond of font that looks like old dot matrix it's hard to read and a bit blury

I like the new design but I did notice that on the front page the login box would change from username to email when I tried to login other than that everything is work perfectly.

Dear Christie:
I'm adjusting to the often beautiful changes (I'm slow in this regards, being a bit of a cat by nature). Thank you for all of your hard work. Only one request (and a selfish one at that):
Could we add the "Topic Activity" link again to the vertical Menu bar/listings on the left side of the page? Or perhaps the "What's New?" link could take its place. I find that it slows down the process of accessing my faves by first going to "Forum," and then finding "What's New?", and THEN clicking on the particular topic.
Alternative: if I've missed something and there IS a faster way to access particular spots on Sissykiss.com, then just let me know.
Guess I just miss my old easy "Topic Activity" line...sigh.

For some reason I can't add new pics from Pixprincess or post a new topic. It says I have to add a thread prefix. I added a title to the pics but it still didn't work. What is a thread prefix?

Sissyjj - A thread prefix is a rating. Apparently all threads have to have that now, which I have to say I'm not a fan of.
I agree with Wittle_Bwittany that thread lists are quite large. It would be nice if there was at least a theme that gave the option of just seeing them as plain text, like they used to be, without the pictures just to make browsing a little less of a chore. I'm not sure if it's possible to use a theme to make that big of a change, but it would be nice. I know there's an option to turn avatars and images off inside the threads, so, at least to someone with no programming experience, it seems like it should be possible to have an option to do so in the thread list.
I do like the new look of the threads themselves, though, and the overall look of the site. It looks much slicker, somehow. I can't imagine I'll use most of the new BB code features, but they're fun to have as an option.

Ah, of course. Silly me! Now sorted. Thanks for the advice. xx

The site is looking great, Very clean. Lovin everything, keep up the awesome work.

Yay! Made it back and restormed charmmy kitty background!!
I like generally how it looks appreciating the time it most of taken but agree those thread lists are just super big and a bit of chore to scroll thru.
I did encounter the log with email rather than username which throw me as I couldn't remember at first glance what account I'd use for it?
Was there some special reason for going to email or was it just some website code requirement?

I like the new site too

I like the new site too but am having trouble moving some of the things I want to save from the old site. It's probably just me but I wanted to save the blogs and Network. Amanda

I love the new look, and I am getting used to it quickly. I have been noticing things that didn't work have been starting to work again -- Miss Christie is at work behind the scenes!
I do wonder whether there's any plan to make the profile areas such as "Interests", "I am wearing", "I love to be a", etc. accept more than 25 characters. Anything longer gets cut off for me. 25 seems quite short. It also seems as if some people somehow manage to have longer text in these, and I don't know how.
Is there any plan to be able to modify my My Sissy Space profile's layout? It's nice to be able to modify the CSS, but the old My Sissy Space let me adjust which "boxes" were present and where.

Hi sissy darlings! I'm so glad so many of you like the new layout! Yes I have been tinkering away behind the scenes, fixing any cyber buggies that pop up. I think I've mostly got them all.
I'm going away on a vacation for a week and a half though tommorrow! Any cyber buggies left can wait that long, I think I've got to ones that needed to be fixed fast.
I'd stay but my family is going, and they go on a vacation once in a purple pokka dotted moon, and they wanted me to go. *giggle* I first said I would love to go to Disney World, and get my picture taken with Cinderella, but they decided to go somewhere else. I'm still going to have fun because we are going to see Mount Rushmore, we're going to see some beautiful mountains in the Rockies, and we are going to a place thats like Six Flags and is up in the mountains. The only other mountains I've been to were the Ozark mountains near Eureka Springs. They were lovely. I was hiking with some of my friends and they showed me a cave that looked like the inside of a sea shell, and it had crystals forming all along the walls. I don't mind hiking, I do aerobics every other day, and I highly recommend it because my body is super healthy from doing it.
I'll still be able to check up on Sissy Kiss with my notebook and ipod. I'll also have time to reply to some emails at hotels.
It would be nice if there was at least a theme that gave the option of just seeing them as plain text
Oh actually we do have that. You can see a completely text version of the forum at this address:

Thankies so much!

We actually do have a What's New link in the left side bar, it's viewable when you are logged in. The reason I made it only viewable to logged in members is search engines find the link and take up a lot of bandwidth with it, which makes the site load slowly. I did it to make the site load faster. Some What's New links can be seen by guests that are not logged in but the fewer the better.
I did encounter the log with email rather than username which throw me as I couldn't remember at first glance what account I'd use for it?

It's just because people can remember their email usually. I know that's not the case with current members who haven't looked at their email in a long time, but that will only happen at first when the change happens, and if people forget their email I put a link under the login box for people to email me so I can look up their email for them.
I like the new site too but am having trouble moving some of the things I want to save from the old site. It's probably just me but I wanted to save the blogs and Network. Amanda
Oh do you mean moving the sissy space boxes around? It may be a cyber buggy. If you email me and describe it in detail I'll look more into it.

I wanted to do that as well, but it stretches out the layout so people have to scroll sideways. I think I may be able to put them into textboxes, which will allow for there to be more characters without stretching out the layout. I'll try to do that when I get the chance.
Is there any plan to be able to modify my My Sissy Space profile's layout? It's nice to be able to modify the CSS, but the old My Sissy Space let me adjust which "boxes" were present and where.
I know it looks like a lot of code at first, but CSS is actually pretty easy once you know how to do it, and the words in the CSS do what they mean. I'll still try to make something that's even easier to use when I get the chance like Zoints was. That's the best I could find with a software that was compatible with the forum, I tested out all sorts of profile softwares.
Also the people that do know CSS can make new templates for everyone, which will eventually start appearing in the "Personalize profile" page.

Dear Christie:
Thank you for the fast response and I hope your vacation is going well. I am a member of Sissykiss (thank the gods!) and I just found the "What's New" sidebar link you mentioned, just north of the Menu sidebar I was referring to.
Sheesh. My eyes were failing me...old age is setting in. I'm in need of some serious regression.
Thanks again for the help.

Yey!! I likes all of this!

I'm always impressed by the amount of work that must go into SissyKiss, the new layout is definitely nice.
One concern that I have (which I think has been raised) is that browsing thread-lists is now a bit over-burdened with detail, I'm finding it hard to know what I'm looking at. One idea might be, though I don't know how much customisation power you have with this system, to encase all the 'Last Post By' and the 'Replies/Views' information in their own distinct group containers. If the thread summary height and avatar icons could be made smaller, I think that would also make it a bit easier (may depend on resolution I guess). Though it may just be that I need to get used to it, looking at it now I can definitely see how the design intends to highlight certain aspects, so long as the user is familiar with what they're looking at.

Sorry to keep complaining, especially about the same thing, but... I think it's a little silly to have mandatory ratings on every thread, and yet have pictures from those threads pop up on the thread list. Because then you end up with something like we had on the Captions board for a while where, right on the front page, you have a picture, however small, of a girl giving a guy a blowjob, with no way to hide it. So even if you aren't interested in XXX rated threads, and never open them, you're still subjected to some of their material, unless you use the archive view you linked to. Which is nice, don't get me wrong, but it would be much nicer to have something a little fancier than that, since you can't post or reply from it without switching to regular view.
-
Oh right, I definitely am too lazy to rate every thread that I post. Maybe it's just that I don't often venture out from the cappies/story forums, but I can't imagine much any of this site being anything less than R. :P
Then again, I do find myself in favour of some kind of spanking policy for those who fail to rate their threads under the new system, it would certainly help in improving behaviour for those who forget. ;)

I have to agree with this, just from a purely logical standpoint. If the point of having mandatory thread ratings is to allow people to avoid content they don't want to see, it doesn't make sense to show that content to them before they've even clicked on the thread. Maybe no thumbnail images should ever appear on threads rated XXX, or even R.

Hi, sissy dahlings I'm back, and I've made many more adjustments, and fixes.
I changed it so people log in with their username again. Many people thought that was easier, and I have less emails now needing help to log in. I still have 20 emails to go with people needing help because they forgot their email. *lol* I'll let those people know too.
I modified people's details above their posts, so now they can add long descriptions, and it will not make the thread any longer. If anyone presses the description it will show the full description if its a long one. I needed to comprise with the people that wanted shorter threads, and the people that wanted to say a lot in their profile fields.
Yes I've thought of the issue where we have thread ratings, but we also have thread thumbnails where anyone can see a tiny XXX thumbnail.
If someone didn't want to view XXX thumbnails they can press a thread's rating to only see threads that have ratings they want to see. So if they just wanted to see PG rated threads they can press "PG" on a PG rated thread. Then only PG rated threads will show.
That's the best I could do because the thread ratings and the thread thumbnails are two different modifications made by two different people, and they don't usually integrate their scripts, because then they would be way too busy integrating a lot of scripts.

Friends/ network
All my friends in my network are missing. Do I have to copy that info from the old site. If so just how so I do that?
