Looking For Leotards Description:
The old fashioned style ones.
First I bought a pair of Pink Leotards from Danskin in a size medium, they fit perfect in the rear but the sleeves tore because the chest was tight.
Then I found a picture of what looked like the perfect Leotard. Pink and it is a Tank Leotard. I went to a large, but the crotch is only 2" wide.
Does anyone know where to buy a Leotard in the old style where the legs are low cut and the crotch is much wider? I am tired of waisting money online.

Still looking for some good quality leotards, low cut in the legs and a wide crotch.

You might be able to find something there. I bought a pair for my little Princess and they are quite nice.

Thanks I will check those sites out, it's still hard to know what you will get without looking at them first. I don't think I want a unitard, maby a skirted leotard or tank leotard when I have some extra cash.

Samanthasmummy has given you a great source.
Presume that you are looking for a tank or short sleeve style leotard (pull-on
no snap crotch).
That outfit has a great many colors and appears to have size range that
will fit a wide spectrum of the adult world (XS thru 3X).
A direct page link:
http://www.welovecolors.com/Shop/TankLeotard.htm
And the price is not bad either. $22.00
You have checked out ebay I presume.
The selection is very bleak - caters to the children and young adults.
What I think you are looking for is more of the vintage type leotard.
Even costume and theatrical wear is very limited and no large adult sizes.
Still yet check it often - you might get lucky.
Another place to look is older established dancewear stores.
If in a large city metropolitan area you should find at least one or two.
A phone call may give you more options. Including 800 numbers.
Try Yahoo; Google or whatever search engine you have for more leads.
Let me know when you have reached the end of the internet ! LOL !!!!!
And there is always the thrift; savers; goodwill; salvation army stores.
One of posters above suggested a unitard. Handy with a sewing machine
or have someone that is - convert it to a leotard. Snip the legs off and hem
the ends in a stretch finishing stitch. Well maybe not that easy but you get
the idea.
If perchance you get a skirted leotard - possible to remove the skirt - BUT !
then WHY ! A skirt enhances the SISSYness of the leotard. Even more so
with pastel colors (pinks) etc. Wear it with white or light color tights and
top off the ankles with contrasting color lace ankle sox.
And since you go by the avatar 'Baby Butch" make sure to allow room for
the baby essentials. Don't pass by the opportunity to get a fitted onesie
resembling a leotard. Just another option.
Good Luck !

Also consider a tank bathing suit - with or without skirt .
Lot of places to search for that and passed prime time now that swim suit
market is just about over. Look for bargain sales at all the major retailers
and sporting goods stores.

Thanks for the help and advice, I agree the site recommended by Samanthasmummy is a good one. The $22 tank leorard is nice and shipping is $5 more. I did not buy one yet, after blowing money on 2 Leotards so far that I can't wear, I am hesitant to spend more money at this time. If I bought it and the legs are high cut with a narrow 2" crotch I would just throw it away. I need something wide down there to cover up the private parts.

Email them and ask. Also ask for any suggestions of a manufacturer that could supply your needs.
I did that when I was looking for a big baby bottle, and got no funny questions.

I put on my old Danskin leotards and they are so tight in the chest they ripped under the arms. I threw out both pairs I had because they are too small.
I will eventually get the ones we talked about above and at least I know now what size to buy.

Picked up this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002XULQ7Q - in Royal blue X-Large
and this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002KNIKI4 - in white, x-large.
Both fit very well - I am about 5'8"...180 (need to lose weight), but no stretching issues. I'd definitely recommend the brand and very good service through amazon.
Have a few pairs of tights from welovecolors (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0025ESP5G) - good for that, but I'd be more hesitant to try a full size leotard from them as they are thinner - although I admittedly haven't had any issues with the material so far.

Thanks for the links, Mistress Biscuits those look nice. I will do more shopping and pick up something eventually. I have had bad luck with Internet buying.
