Anybody having problems posting/PMing?

I've been PMing with Lil Cassie for a little while now, and the other day her reply came back to me as just the nested quotes of our previous conversations, nothing new. I figured it was just a mistake, so I didn't think anything of it until she sent me another one today the same way. I let her know what was happening, figuring twice in a row was a bit odd, and she managed to let me know that apparently something is up with her account, and some of her PMs just do that, plus she can't post or reply to threads on the board. I guess if other people have the same problem, they can't really post here, but has anyone heard of it happening to someone else's account? Better yet, does anyone know what's going on?

I went to Control Panel/Edit Options/ Then miscellaneous options and selected 'Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls'

Don't know if its the same problem but it worked for me

Thank you uk daddy1!!!!! It was driving me nuts to not be able to post or send private messages to anybody! I don't what happened. One day everything was fine, the next day I couldn't do anything.

Hi sweeties! Can anyone experiencing this let me know what kind of computer you are using? (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac, Linux, etc.) and what kind of browser you are using and it's version? (Internet Explorer - version 6, Firefox 2.0, etc.) That would be so helpful!

I've looked on the internet, and this has been a difficult problem for many forum owners to solve, and it seems to only happen to certain people. For example I haven't experienced this myself.

As UK Daddy pointed out, it is something happening with the advanced editor. This problem may go away once we upgrade, but I'll still look into this when I get some time.

Some things to check which may cause this are:

* Have you been quoting someone when posting, because quotes don't counts as characters in a post.

* Is your post made up entirely of images?

* You might also check if the page is fully loaded before you post your message because a script that checks the amount of characters may not be loaded yet.

* Were you Copy & Pasting your message from somewhere else, like a text editor or something like that? Some text editors can add in code when trying to post in forums which may make the forum not count any characters.
