So I'm really shy

So I'm really shy
I'm trying to get over it a bit, or, at least, be able to function better in groups.
I have, problems. It's got to do with how I grew up, so, i don't know if it's something that will get fixed easily, but, I want to try and be more active in trying to fix my problems.
I guess I'm trying to ask about some, suggestions on how to get better.
I'm a little better online than in person, and once I know people in person I'm okay as long as it's in a small group, but, I have problems in groups that have unfamiliar people, or, lots of people. (you know, more than 5 other people I guess?)

AWWW just talk to people and be urself no one will ever jugde you on here. Open up its hard to make new friends but life is just that learning to over come them and going after your dreams is what realy matters. Nothing is out of reach for anything you want if you want it badly. BIG HUGS!!!

I am shy too in life, people say I am very quiet and laid back. Sometimes I feel more like an observer than a participant. When I joined Sissy Kiss a year and a half ago I had no idea what to say or do. Now I have over 60 friends in my Network, without really persuing most of them.
Enjoy life and just be yourself, enjoy Sissy Kiss, it is here for many reasons, including a place for the sick and disabled who need something for fun and meet friends to talk with.

i know the feeling all too well. im really shy around a lot of people too.
i find that the best thing to do is just dont talk to people you dont know unless they talk to you first. and then just be yourself and dont worry about trying to get them to like you. if they do like you than great, but if not, oh well. its there loss.

I'll, try to talk here. but, I kind of have trouble coming up with things that I think would interest people for conversations. I'm sure I'm probably just as good as anyone else, but, it's, a self esteem thing.

oh maya, dont worry about trying to be interesting. there are far less interesting people than you.
in fact, i find that the really shy ones are the most interesting people out there. they always have something to say, but there just afraid to say it. a lot of people mistake them as boring, but there not. there just scared.
trust me, you have nothing to be shy about here. this is the greatest and most accepting community i've ever seen. i love it here and i think you will too.

I'll try to remember that.
From my initial experiences here, so far things have been pretty good. Everyone's been positive and pretty supportive. It's not the community, it's me.

I think Wittle_Bwittany is right about shy people, once you get them talking they have plenty to say. Not everyone has to be the life of the party.

no you shouldnt have to change. you can open up without changing anything. believe me, no one here wants to change you. your perfect just the way you are.

I think a lot of the people here have a shy side, if you can find people that love you for who you are you'll never fear about being boring or uninteresting.
For me it's about being true to yourself and others being true to you :)

I tottally understand where your coming from. I was very shy about expressing myself on this sita and only recently done so. I find that the best way to know what to write is treat it like a conversation. It will nep you in public groups of all sorts and it is a very useful skill to learn :). Also you don't have to be interesting to provide input in a situation, its just about having the courage to open up and talk about. If you ever need help with any problem you might have we here in the sissykiss community will be happy to help. Just be yourself and people will exept you for the way you, and the people that don't go on this site.
