Dawn kissed the sky "Good Morning"
as I looked on a world born anew.
The brightening day unfolded,
as the shadows of night withdrew.
The horizon expanded before me,
possibilities no longer concealed.
I stood in the glorious Sunlight
and watched as the world was revealed.
The first golden tendrils of daybreak,
gently reached out to my face.
I gazed as the Sun mounted higher,
surrendering to its' embrace.
The light washed all my cares from me,
bringing comfort and joy to my soul.
Enthused with the warmth of the morning,
I felt myself to be whole.
So now when night brings its' darkness
and worries bring tears to my eyes,
I'll remember the world keeps on turning
and morning will bring the Sunrise.
I'm really enjoying expressing my thoughts like this. I hope you like my poems.

I only started because I liked yours so much.
I'm finding it helps me inhabit my female self more thoroughly.
I don't know if that makes sense? sounds a bit psychobabble-y.
Expressing this aspect of myself still takes a conscious effort.
I suppose that's why I'm finding the free flow of poetry quite liberating.
