Having Nightmares...

i've had a recurring nightmare for the past two weeks... it involves me and my family, friends and gf in 1940's Europe, and with my family having jewish heritage, we were taken to a concentration camp, and forced to work to the point of exhaustion. in the dream, they told me that for every tear i cried, i'd get another number tattooed along with the 5 i already had. part of the dream is still a blur, but the main part i rmemeber is being told i could have freedom, but i'd have to make a choice. they then uncovered a tarp and their tied to a chair and gagged were my mom and my gf, and they told me in order to win my freedom i'd have to choose which one was to be shot and if i didnt choose fast enough, they'd both be shot along with myself too... i usually wake up around this time, but its haunting cuz i actually have family tht survived and died in the holocaust. i'm an atheist converted to a wiccan, but its still scary because my family was still involved in that horror. i just need some help getting past this cuz its making it hard to concentrate in school and i don't want to fall behind again. please help me! i'm just so scared...

i'm having a hard time telling my parents cuz i don't want to have to receive any more professional help than i already do for things i have no control over... and now i feel sick to my stomach from the chicken i ate for supper <_>

in my experience a recurring dream usually means your subconscious self is trying to tell you something. you simply have to be willing to take the time ti analyze it and figure out what it is. once the problem is resolved the dream will go away.


since your given a choice between killing your mom and girlfriend, maybe theres some kind of friction between them. even if only in your mind.

since your a child at heart maybe your afraid to leave your mother and have a healthy relationship with another woman.


of course it really could be anything. truthfully, only you can solve this problem.

Nightmares are really bad, and I'm wondering if you've ever tried using a dreamcatcher? I never had nightmares after I got one. I know it sounds dumb, but it really helped me out.

sawy i havnt been on in so long btw... my friend gave me his Pokemon SoulSilver game and i was trying to beat it in under 24 hours, which i did ^^ but more to the point, i stopped having the dream for now and appreciate all the support! and i did have a dreamcatcher, but my cat kept trying to eat it <_>

So glad to hear that you stopped having that dream. I know how bad disturbing nightmares can be, and how difficult it can be do shake them off during waking hours. If you don't want professional help for this sort of thing, all you can really do is what you did; ask for comfort from your friends, stay strong, and hope the ickies stop.
